    Sandeep Purao is a Trustee Professor and Interim Chair in the Information and Process Management Group, and Associate Director of the Hoffman Center for Business Ethics at Bentley University. He is also a Visiting Professor at Agder University in Norway. His current research involves the design of digital solutions for social good. His research has resulted in 100+ publications, with external funding of USD ~3 million from national agencies, foundations, and industry consortia. He has served on editorial boards and funding agency panels; and has consulted with financial institutions and software houses. He holds a Ph.D. in Management Science from Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

Prior to joining Bentley he served on the faculty at the College of Information Sciences and Technology, Penn State University, and the faculty at College of Business, Georgia State University. His research focuses on the design, evolution, and management of digital solutions with a blend of research methods and approaches from software engineering and social sciences. His research has been funded by the National Science Foundation, Industry Consortia, private Foundations, as well as private Corporations. His work has been published in journals such as MIS Quarterly, Information Systems Research, Journal of MIS, ACM Computing Surveys, Communications of the ACM, ACM Transactions on Social Computing, IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics, Big Data Research, Journal of the Medical Internet Research, Computer-supported Cooperative Work, International Journal of Public Health, and Journal of American Medical Informatics Association; and conferences such as International Conference on Information Systems, IEEE Service-oriented Computing Conference, International Conference on Conceptual Modeling, Design Science conference and others.
